BOYS DON'T CRY
Boys don’t cry est une pièce jeune public construite sur la base d’un texte de Chantal Thomas, écrit spécialement pour la pièce, autour d’une partie de foot
improbable, terrain de jeu et de danse.
Elle sert de prétexte à une réflexion à la fois nostalgique, drôle et tendre sur ce que c’est que de danser quand on est un garçon, qui plus est quand on vient
d’Afrique du Nord et d’un monde arabe
Il s’agira de tordre le cou à certains clichés d’une certaine théorie du genre où ce serait « couture pour les filles et foot pour les garçons ».
Un regard tendre et nostalgique sur une enfance empreinte d’une société où la voie prédestinée n’est pas toujours celle désirée. Une danse pour soi, une ode à la
famille, une déclaration du cœur, une compréhension d’amour.

Boys do not cry is a young public piece built on the basis of a text by Chantal Thomas, written especially for the piece, around an unlikely football game, playground and dance.
This is a pretext for a nostalgic, funny and tender reflection on what it is to dance when you are a boy, moreover when you come from North Africa and an Arab world.
It will be a question of fighting some clichés of a world where it would be "sewing for girls and football for boys".
A tender and nostalgic look back at a childhood where the predestined way is not always the desired one.
A dance for oneself, an ode to the family, a statement of the heart, an understanding of love.
